I booked this wedding a year ago and I could not believe how quick it seemed when the day finally arrived. It was nice to finally meet Emily in person, as I remember emailing back and forth with her when I was traveling in Asia for the three months of my own honeymoon. The wedding and reception were held at Surf and Sand Resort in Laguna Beach. Here are a few pictures…

I have wanted to do an ES in the city of Orange for awhile now and got the chance with Aubrey and Drew who are from Massachusetts and are here in Southern California to get married. Since they are out so far from home we did this session right before their wedding, so expect to see that […]

Kate and Leonard had a small an intimate wedding with family and friends at the La Jolla Wedding Bowl with the reception at Roppongi Restaurant. The day was overcast and beautiful for an outdoor wedding, as a few days before I was shooting weddings in over 100 degree heat (the poor bridal parties!) I was really looking forward […]

So I just got back from a little week of R&R at my in-laws cabin up in northern California. The air was smoky from the valley all the way to the top of the state, but it was manageable since we were staying near the coast. We did sneak through a highway that was closed intermittently due […]

On World Refugee Day my wife’s work the Alliance for African Assistance held their annual Benefit Breakfast. Of course I was there to provide some event photography and as always it was inspiring to meet the people my wife gets to work with everyday. Though they started out with a focus on African refugees, Alliance has long […]

Angie and Mike were married on the balcony of their hotel room at the Hotel del Coronado and I was not only the photographer but I played witness as well! This was perhaps the most private wedding I have done yet and I thought everything about it was great. I am not sure Angie and […]

Kate and Leonardo’s ES was a lot of fun to do. Balboa park was beautiful as always but when we got to La Jolla the tide was pretty high and the surf brought the water all the way to the cliffs. Kate and Leonardo were both great sports about it though and we got some […]

Jennifer and Rusty first met at SDSU and had the idea to do their engagement photos there. It turned out to be a fantastic place to take photos and we had some pretty good fun doing so. The pics are up a little late since my office was out of commission last week (new floors) so thanks […]

Pology is a monthly online travel mag that I have followed for years. What is notable about Pology is that it is without advertisements of any sort and its content relies solely on the submissions of travelers.  I have always been a fan but only recently have I submitted any of my work and even then I never expected to get […]

Jacqueline and Mike are planning their San Diego wedding from Texas. When they flew out for their engagement session the flight was delayed and re routed (more than once I think) and they ended having to catch a shuttle down to San Diego from LA. They missed a whole day of wedding planning and had […]

This was a very intimate wedding held with Suzanne and Jonathan’s close friends and family at a private house in La Jolla. It was also my first Jewish wedding, which was really cool to watch. Here are some of the photos from that night.

As I mentioned before, Chris is my cousin and he is finally married! The last of all the cousins from my mothers side to do so, he and I had a running joke about who would “win” and be last to get married. I was beat by six months! Their wedding was held in the […]

So far I have kept this blog mostly business and refrained from posting anything personal, but this time I just cant help myself. My wife and I adopted two puppies from A Wish For Animals, a rescue based out of LA. At first we were only going to take one (Jane) but the other (Julie) […]

Natalie and Skye’s ceremony was charmed. The weather forecast called for an inch of rain that night and though the clouds looked heavy, the weather held until the end of the shoot. It is the coolest thing shooting before a big storm because the sky is never boring. At the end of the session, we took […]

So I am becoming pretty familiar with Balboa Park! Chris is my cousin and he proposed to Sarah while I was in India. It was about time too, my family is very excited to have her as part of the family. The session went a little long because I spent so much time talking with them and it […]
