So I just got back from a little week of R&R at my in-laws cabin up in northern California. The air was smoky from the valley all the way to the top of the state, but it was manageable since we were staying near the coast. We did sneak through a highway that was closed intermittently due to the fires and could see flames through the trees. Everything around the road was smoldering and we passed plenty of exhausted looking firefighters, no pictures though since I was driving at the time. Speaking of pictures, I only picked up my camera once to snap a single photo the night we arrived. The ocean fog was rolling into the mountains making everything look pretty cool. So here is my one vacation photo. :)
